Dickey's is one of the best barbecue places in Alpharetta. The location on Highway 9 is new and spacious. Dine-in guests get free ice cream with their meal. Their sandwiches and meat plates are affordable and delicious! I walked into Dickey's yesterday expecting it to be like Shane's rib shack. Boy, was I wrong; I was very much impressed. Their menu is easy to read, with plenty of options to choose from. I chose the Quarter Plate for $6.75, which is 1/4 lb. of your choice meat, 2 sides, and a roll. I couldn't finish the whole meal, it was so much food!

For my meat I chose Southern pulled pork (I love BBQ pork), with my sides being Mac & Cheese and Green Beans with Bacon. The Green Beans with Bacon was watery and bland, so I didn't enjoy it much. The Mac & Cheese was real good. There was a perfect blend of cheese and macaroni so it wasn't too rich or overwhelming. Just the way I like it! The pulled pork was good, but what made it exceptional was the dipping sauce. You have three choices to choose from: Sweet, Dickey's Original, or Spicy. I tried the sweet, and I tried the Dickey's Original. The Dickey's Original BBQ sauce was orgasmic. I couldn't get enough!
